Connecting Women Across Communities to Opportunities

405,200,000

Why 405.2 Million?

Women and girls worldwide represent an enormous pool of talent and potential. Śaci aims to help rural women turn their skills into opportunities through accessible learning, entrepreneurship, market access, and financial empowerment.

Who we are

About Śaci

A Śaci woman artisan

Śaci bridges the gap between rural women and the opportunities they deserve. Because when women rise, entire communities move forward.

Goal

To empower rural women with the skills, opportunities, and digital access they need to become financially independent and confident.

Mission

To create a trusted digital ecosystem that connects rural women with learning, skill development, livelihood opportunities, and markets, while enabling NGOs and organisations to support their journey.

Vision

A future where every rural woman has the knowledge, skills, opportunities, and confidence to build an independent and sustainable livelihood.

What we believe

  • DignityEvery woman is a maker and earner, not a beneficiary.
  • TrustVerification, status and payments are visible.
  • OpportunityLower the barriers to learning and to markets.
  • StoryConnect each product to its maker, village and craft.
  • CommunityGrow through SHGs, local partners and clusters.
  • TransformationShow progress in skills, income and capability.
How it works

Learn. Make. Verify. Procure. Sell. Grow.

01

Learn

Free, mentor-led workshops and lessons build practical skills in craft, pricing and costing, packaging, digital skills and more.

02

Make

Women create products from the craft and skills they already have or are developing.

03

Verify

A trusted local NGO verifies makers and reviews the quality of their products.

04

Procure

Śaci buys accepted products at collection, before they sell to a customer, so makers don't carry the risk of unsold stock.

05

Sell

Products reach customers beyond the village through the Śaci shop, told with the maker's story.

06

Grow

Skills, income and confidence grow, and with them, the whole community.

The Lives Behind the Labels

What Can One Opportunity Change?

Being able to sell our authentic traditional products directly without middlemen has doubled our earnings. It gives us the dignity to support our families through our own heritage skills.

Sunita BaiHandloom Weaver

Earlier, seasonal work was our only option. Now, selling our handmade products year-round provides a steady income that helps us invest in our children's education and healthcare.

We came together with a shared belief: every woman deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and shape her own future. What began as an initiative to empower rural women is growing into a larger mission, to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity through skills, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods. With Śaci as our first step, we're working towards a future where empowerment extends beyond a platform and creates lasting change in communities.

Questions

Good to know

Yes. Courses are free of charge. Śaci does not pay stipends or allowances for attending a course; income comes from products that are accepted and procured.

No. Makers submit samples and supply details. After review, Śaci procures accepted products and lists them on its own shop, so makers don't set up or manage a storefront.

Makers are paid for the quantities that are accepted at collection, before the product sells to a customer. Rejected units are returned and not paid.

A trusted local NGO partner in each cluster verifies makers and reviews craft, materials and quality. A product reaches the public shop only after review and publication by the platform.
